APC FEED CONCEPTS FOR

poultry

Optimized nutrient absorption through improved intestinal mucosa

Improved nutrient absorption through a functionally enhanced intestinal mucosa is of particular importance in poultry. With the APC feed concept, we achieve this and can significantly reduce protein and mineral content.

This protects the liver, strengthens the animals' immunity and health, reduces ammonia emissions by up to 50 % and relieves the environment.

The feeding concepts

01 - Chick

APC add. HM/HZ I 0.2%

Naturally strengthened: Promotes intestinal health, immunity and vitality in young poultry.

02 - Chickens

APC add. HM/HZ II 0.2%

Strengthens the intestines and metabolism, improves nutrient utilization and thus supports healthy, high-performing animals with more stable eggshells.

Results - Comparison between APC natural feed additive blends and citric acid with a control group in broilers

A study investigated the effects of APC natural feed additives and citric acid in broiler chickens compared to a control group. The aim was to evaluate the effects of these additives on the chickens' growth, feed consumption, feed conversion, and gut health.

Experimental setup:
480 day-old chicks were divided into three groups:

  • Group A received 0.21 TP3T APC feed additives.
  • Group B received 2% citric acid.
  • Group C served as a control group without additives.

Results:

  1. body weight – The highest weight gain was observed in group A, followed by group B. The control group C had the least growth.
  2. Food consumption Group A had the lowest food consumption, while group C had the highest.

  3. Feed conversion (FCR) Group A showed the best feed conversion, followed by Group B, with the control group bringing up the rear.

  4. pH value in the small intestine – Group A had the lowest pH value, indicating improved gut health.

  5. microorganisms in the gut – In group A, the highest number of lactobacilli and the lowest number of coliform bacteria were measured, indicating an improved microbial intestinal flora.

Conclusion: APC's natural feed additives resulted in improved growth performance and a healthier intestinal environment compared to citric acid and the control group.

These results show that APC additives have beneficial effects on animal health and production performance.

Leaky Gut Syndrome can be prevented by using APC food supplements, as these support the health of the intestinal mucosa and the balance of the intestinal flora, thus reducing intestinal permeability.

More about APC's poultry feed concepts

In addition to successful feeding results for broilers, we also achieved very good results with laying hens: APC's feed additives improved shell persistence and calcium utilization, leading to stronger shells and fewer broken eggs. However, we achieved the best results with parent stock feed: stronger and heavier eggs with lower bacterial permeability resulted in more and healthier chicks.
